Set in the neon-lit, desolate underbelly of Los Angeles, the series follows grieving Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department beat cop Martin Jones. After accidentally shooting a corrupt colleague during a botched traffic stop, Martin is manipulated into the city’s occult
criminal underworld by Viggo Larsen, a dying patriarch of a white supremacist sex-trafficking ring. Driven by a hollow sense of duty and a corrupted moral compass, Martin begins working as a hitman, executing drug dealers, pedophiles, and pimps to cleanse the streets, while simultaneously navigating a deteriorating romance with Diana, a mysterious woman who orchestrates her own bloody brand of vengeance. Meanwhile, Jesus Rojas, the son of a murdered Mexican drug lord, returns home to Los Angeles seeking absolute power and retribution for his father's death. Haunted by visions of the Virgin Mary and driven by megalomaniacal delusions, Jesus aligns with Damian Gifford, a ruthless young filmmaker turned vigilante who uses snuff films and underground cinema to radicalize disaffected youth. Damian seeks to overthrow the established criminal cartels to install a new, ultra-violent fascist order. As Martin eliminates targets for Viggo, his path inevitably converges with Jesus and Damian. Viggo’s death sparks a brutal power vacuum, leaving Martin vulnerable to betrayal. Concurrently, Jesus and Damian abduct Janey, a young woman connected to Martin’s past, using her as bait to lure their enemies into a catastrophic final confrontation. Driven by motives of guilt, power, and
religious fanaticism, the characters are drawn toward an inevitable reckoning in the desert. Diana emerges as the ultimate mastermind, manipulating the chaos to elevate herself above the warring factions. In the searing climax, Martin confronts Jesus and Damian, leading to a surreal and brutal bloodbath that shatters the fragile illusion of control. Martin realizes he is merely a pawn in a much larger, cosmic game of cruelty and retribution, forever trapped in the unforgiving, dreamlike nightmare of the modern American criminal landscape.
