Decades after the initial outbreak, seasoned zombie survivors Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita, and Little Rock have made the abandoned White House their home. Columbus plans to propose to Wichita using the Hope Diamond, but domestic friction arises. Wichita fears commitment, while Tallahassee treats Little Rock like a child. Feeling smothered, Little Rock runs away with Berkeley, a pacifist musician, while Wichita also departs, leaving Columbus heartbroken. Devastated, Columbus wanders a nearby mall where he meets Madison, a dim-witted, sheltered survivor who survived the apocalypse by living inside a Victoria’s Secret freezer. Columbus and Madison quickly become intimate, sleeping together, which brings a brief spark of normalcy to the bleak wasteland.Soon, Wichita returns, frantically explaining that Little Rock headed toward Graceland. The group—now including Madison—pursues them in a heavily armed minivan. Along the way, Madison ingests tainted food, vomiting profusely and showing early signs of zombification, prompting Tallahassee to abandon her in the woods. Reaching Graceland, they find Little Rock’s abandoned van, but Tallahassee’s prized Elvis memorabilia is gone. Their search is interrupted by Albuquerque and Flagstaff, a pair of smug survivors who mirror Columbus and Tallahassee’s personalities down to their mannerisms. The reunion is short-lived when the doppelgängers are killed by a new, evolved strain of zombies dubbed "T-800s," which are faster, stronger, and significantly harder to kill.Escaping just in time, the group seeks refuge at "Babylon," a peaceful, weapon-free hippie commune that Little Rock and Berkeley intended to join. Upon arrival, Columbus and Tallahassee are forced to surrender their weapons. To everyone’s surprise, Madison arrives at the gates, having miraculously survived the wilderness despite her supposed infection, and is joyfully reunited with Columbus. However, the peace is shattered when a massive horde of T-800s tracks the survivors to Babylon, attracted by the commune’s noisy generator.Stripped of their firearms, the survivors must rely on ingenuity, sheer willpower, and improvised weapons to defend the sanctuary. Tallahassee leads the defense, utilizing a crane, explosives, and sheer grit atop a towering monument to crush the advancing horde. Columbus and Wichita fight valiantly side-by-side, cementing their bond. Just as it seems they will be overwhelmed, Nevada—a tough survivor from Babylon—arrives with heavy firepower, turning the tide and wiping out the remaining undead. In the aftermath, Little Rock decides to stay put with Berkeley, finally accepting Tallahassee’s protective love from afar. Wichita and Columbus reconcile, with Columbus finally presenting the Hope Diamond, and Wichita accepting his proposal, ready to face the hazardous, zombie-infested world together as a united family.
