Prisca and Guy Cappa, a couple on the brink of divorce, take their young children, Maddox and Trent, to an exclusive, secluded
tropical resort for one final
family vacation before breaking the news. Upon arrival, the resort manager warmly welcomes them and offers a special, off-the-beaten-path excursion to a private, hidden beach surrounded by towering, mineral-rich cliffs. Eager for relaxation, the family joins a select group of guests, including an anxious cardiologist named Charles, his wife Chara, their young daughter Kara, Charles’s elderly mother Agnes, a nurse named Jarin, his therapist wife Patricia, and a troubled rapper known as Mid-Sized Sedan.Upon arriving at the pristine cove, the idyllic atmosphere quickly turns bizarre. The guests discover the lifeless body of a young woman floating in the water, and Mid-Sized Sedan experiences sudden, severe nosebleeds. More alarmingly, the children undergo rapid physical maturation, transforming into teenagers in a matter of hours. Panic sets in as the adults realize a terrifying, unnatural phenomenon is at play: time on the beach is exponentially accelerated, aging everyone by one year every thirty minutes.Efforts to escape are thwarted by an invisible, impenetrable barrier surrounding the perimeter of the cove; anyone who attempts to force their way through or swim away loses consciousness and suffers fatal aneurysms as their bodies try to process the extreme temporal distortion. Trapped by biology and geography, the group descends into chaos and despair. Medical emergencies compound the horror: Agnes passes away from old age, while Patricia and Jarin suffer fatal injuries and rapid declines. Charles, whose underlying mental instability is exacerbated by the mounting stress and encroaching dementia, experiences severe paranoid psychosis, turning violently hostile toward the other survivors. As the years mentally and physically weigh down upon them, Maddox and Trent—now fully grown adults—survive Charles’s violent attacks by hiding until he ultimately perumbs to rapid senility and natural causes. The rest of the group perish one by one. Left completely alone, the adult siblings realize a crucial detail: a hidden coral reef blocks the exit path through the water. Recalling a cryptic message left by a resort employee's nephew, Trent and Maddox swim underwater through the dangerous coral passage, managing to escape the beach's lethal temporal field. They expose the resort—which was actually a pharmaceutical front using the guests as unwitting human subjects to test experimental longevity drugs—leading to the arrests of the operators and bringing a sense of justice to their tragic ordeal.
