Set in the underworld of Chennai, the narrative revolves around a cursed
ancient artifact known as the Maragadha Naanayam, a legendary emerald coin said to bring ultimate doom to anyone who possesses it. The curse originates from an ancient king who brutally massacred his loyal subjects, binding their restless souls to the priceless gem. Centuries later, a ruthless and ambitious local gangster named "Eelam" Rajah discovers the stone's existence and desperately seeks to acquire it, believing it will solidify his absolute dominance over the city's criminal syndicate.Meanwhile, Senguttuvan, a chronically unlucky and timid young man, finds himself desperately in need of quick cash to win back the heart of his estranged girlfriend, Chitra. Out of sheer desperation, Senguttuvan partners with his eccentric, street-smart friend Elango. The duo accepts a high-risk smuggling contract offered by Rajah to retrieve the cursed Maragadha Naanayam from a
remote location. However, they soon realize the gravity of the danger they have stepped into when their initial attempt to secure the artifact results in a series of bizarre and supernatural mishaps.Realizing they are completely out of their depth against both human adversaries and vengeful spirits, Elango consults a quirky, unorthodox occultist. The mystic reveals that the cursed emerald is inhabited by multiple restless, conflicting ghosts who instantly possess anyone who touches the stone, completely overriding their physical bodies and personalities. To successfully complete the mission and survive the ordeal, Senguttuvan and Elango must navigate a chaotic psychological maze. They find themselves at the mercy of these erratic spirits—ranging from a fierce, foul-mouthed gangster to a timid schoolgirl—each possessing their own unresolved desires that complicate the heist. As the plot thickens, Senguttuvan’s body is repeatedly hijacked by the various spirits at the most inconvenient times, leading to a cascade of hilarious yet perilous confrontations with Rajah’s heavily armed henchmen. Betrayals ripple through the underworld as rival factions catch wind of the magical coin's immense value and the supernatural chaos surrounding it. Senguttuvan must dodge gunfire while simultaneously managing the eccentric demands of the ghosts inside him. Ultimately, in a chaotic and adrenaline-fueled climax, Senguttuvan and Elango execute a daring plan to outsmart Rajah and break the curse once and for all. They successfully trick the gangster into taking possession of the artifact, transferring the lethal curse onto him.
