In the vibrant city of Mumbai, Sameer (played by Ranveer Singh) is a die-hard romantic who has just been dumped by his long-time girlfriend, Isha (played by Lisa Ray). Sameer is convinced that he has been a victim of circumstance and that love has let him down.Enter Simran (played by Sonam Kapoor), a beautiful and free-spirited young woman who works as a
cinematographer on a film set. Sameer and Simran meet on the set of a
romantic drama, where Sameer is volunteering to help out.
