Jean, suffering from crippling agoraphobia and haunted by the tragic overdose death of her son, reluctantly admits several desperate guests. Among them is Waikiki, a bank robber who, alongside his injured brother Honolulu and crew, has just botched a high-stakes heist, stealing a million-dollar diamond-encrusted vault pen from the ruthless crime lord, Orian Crosby. Also seeking sanctuary is a smooth-talking French assassin named Nice, and an abrasive, wounded arms dealer named Acapulco. As the city outside descends into violent anarchy over a water privatization riot, the hotel's fragile ecosystem begins to fracture. Waikiki discovers that the stolen pen actually belongs to the city's reigning kingpin, the terrifying Wolf King, who is soon brought into the Artemis gravely wounded after an assassination attempt. Tensions escalate when Nice reveals she is there to finish off the Wolf King, while Acapulco triggers a security breach by smuggling in a concealed weapon.Chaos erupts within the antiseptic walls. Honolulu dies on the operating table, plunging Waikiki into grief-fueled rage. Meanwhile, Crosby tracks his stolen property to the hotel's doorstep, breaching the perimeter with heavily armed mercenaries. Jean is forced to confront her deeply ingrained trauma when Crosby, revealed to have orchestrated the hits on the Wolf King, attempts to bypass the hospital's defenses to seize control and execute the patients. To protect her remaining charges, Jean overcomes her paralyzing fear of the outside world and embraces her past medical expertise combined with lethal tactical precision. Everest engages in brutal hand-to-hand combat with Crosby’s enforcers, sustaining severe injuries. Nice successfully completes her contract by eliminating the Wolf King, but forms a protective bond with Waikiki as they navigate the escalating crossfire. Ultimately, Jean orchestrates a plan to blow up the hotel to destroy the evidence and stop Crosby. Having purged her grief and reclaimed her humanity, Jean administers a lethal dose to a betrayed Crosby, leaves the collapsing Artemis with Everest, and steps out into the turbulent Los Angeles sunrise, finally facing the outside world she fled decades ago.
