In London, 1872, Count Dracula and his mortal nemesis, Abraham Van Helsing, engage in a fatal rooftop duel. Van Helsing fatally stakes the vampire, but Dracula’s loyal occult follower, Johnny Alucard, secretly collects the dust and blood remains, preserving them for a future resurrection. One century later, London is a hub of swinging 1970s
youth culture, dominated by hedonistic parties and dabbling in black magic. Johnny, now a stylish, decadent occultist, infiltrates this scene, surrounded by thrill-seeking teenagers.Among these youths is Jessica Van Helsing, the rebellious granddaughter of the modern-day occult expert, Lorimer Van Helsing. Johnny orchestrates a midnight black mass in a desecrated church to resurrect his master. Lorimer’s granddaughter and her friends are lured to the ritual. During the ceremony, Johnny sacrifices a young woman, using her blood to successfully regenerate Dracula from his century-old ashes. Dracula rises, eager to continue his bloodline's vendetta against the Van Helsing family and claim Jessica as his new bride. With his hypnotic powers, Dracula easily dominates the youths, turning several of them into his mindless vampire thralls. Jessica, unaware of her heritage, falls under the Count's hypnotic spell, while her friends are systematically seduced, bitten, and killed one by one, leaving a trail of horror in underground clubs and abandoned houses. Johnny, growing increasingly arrogant and erratic, revels in the chaos, helping his master hunt down the remaining teenagers across the bustling city streets.Inspector Murray of
Scotland Yard investigates the string of bizarre murders, eventually enlisting the aid of Lorimer Van Helsing. Lorimer immediately recognizes the ancient signature of his family's greatest enemy. He deduces that Dracula has returned and is using Johnny Alucard as his modern conduit. Lorimer prepares for war, gathering traditional vampire-killing weapons—silver, crucifixes, and holy water—to hunt the creature into his own lair. The climax takes place back at the abandoned church where Dracula was resurrected. Lorimer confronts Johnny, destroying him first by driving a stake through his heart, thereby robbing Dracula of his mortal protector. Dracula attempts to escape by kidnapping Jessica, retreating to the church's catacombs. Lorimer pursues them relentlessly. In a tense final confrontation, Lorimer corners the vampire, using silver and holy water to weaken him before driving a fatal stake into Dracula’s heart, finally ending the vampire's terror. Jessica is freed from the hypnotic trance, safely reunited with her grandfather as the ancient evil dissolves into dust forever.
