Deep in the remote jungles of Java, a troupe of ambitious urban dancers arrives at the secluded village of Penari to immerse themselves in authentic, ancient folk choreography. Led by the charismatic and demanding choreographer, Arya, the group consists of passionate performers seeking inspiration from the region's legendary, untouched
cultural traditions. However, the villagers eye the outsiders with deep-seated suspicion, warning them that the sacred grounds surrounding the settlement are heavily guarded by strict spiritual laws and ancient taboos that must never be broken under any circumstances. As rehearsals begin, the sultry, hypnotic rhythms of the traditional gamelan music begin to exert a strange, intoxicating influence over the dancers. Inhibitions melt away in the sweltering tropical heat, and tensions flare as secret desires, intense rivalries, and volatile romances ignite among the troupe members. Driven by artistic obsession and carnal temptation, several dancers willfully ignore the village elders' explicit warnings. They venture deep into the forbidden forest at night, filming provocative routines near a sacred shrine shrouded in eerie mist.Unbeknownst to them, their hedonistic defiance awakens a malevolent, centuries-old entity that demands a horrific
blood sacrifice. The playful seduction quickly curdles into a waking nightmare as the vengeful guardian spirit possesses the dancers one by one. The possessed performers are plunged into an escalating frenzy of violent, involuntary movements and erotically charged madness. Reality fractures as hallucinations take hold, and the dancers realize they are trapped in a deadly supernatural trap.Panic ensues as the troupe attempts to flee the cursed village, only to find the jungle paths blocked by supernatural forces and local villagers armed with ritualistic weapons. Arya desperately tries to negotiate with the village shaman, learning that the only way to appease the wrathful spirit is through a complete surrender of body and soul. One by one, the surviving dancers fall victim to the curse, consumed by the very dance they came to master. The film reaches its chilling climax as the remaining survivors are permanently bound to the village, transformed into mindless, immortal vessels for the entity's eternal torment. The ancient dance must go on forever, fueled by the agonizing screams and helpless desires of the newcomers, forever sealing the cursed village's dark legacy from the outside world.
