Following the romantic events of the first film, Mick "Crocodile" Dundee is living a peaceful life in New York City with his journalist girlfriend, Sue Charlton. While Sue has settled comfortably into her professional environment, Mick struggles to adapt to urban modernity, hilariously attempting to fish in the East River and wrestling with his untamed instincts. Their tranquility is shattered when Sue’s ex-husband, Bob, photographs Colombian drug cartel leader Rico murdering an informant in South America. Bob mails the incriminating photos to Sue in New York before being assassinated by Rico’s ruthless hitmen.Rico and his heavily armed henchmen quickly track the package to Sue’s apartment. They kidnap Sue to retrieve the undeveloped negatives, leaving Mick for dead. Surviving the ambush, Mick enlists the help of Leroy, a flamboyant and street-smart leader of a local New York gang, along with his colorful associates. Utilizing their underground network, Mick tracks down Rico’s men, orchestrating a clever series of psychological intimidations and urban guerrilla tactics to rescue Sue. Once Sue is safely freed, Mick realizes that New York is no longer safe for her because Rico’s reach is too vast. Determined to protect her and level the playing field, Mick decides to take the fight back to his own territory, convincing Sue to return with him to the
Australian Outback.Arriving at Mick’s vast and isolated homestead, Sue feels safe, but Rico and his syndicate are relentless and manage to track them down. The final act transforms into a high-stakes cat-and-mouse game in the harsh, unforgiving terrain of the bush. Mick uses his supreme survival skills, deep knowledge of the land, and indigenous tracking abilities to systematically pick off Rico’s urban mercenaries one by one. Utilizing natural wildlife, stealth, and booby traps, Mick turns the terrifying wilderness into a nightmare for the cartel. The
psychological pressure mounts on the invaders as they realize they are out of their depth. Ultimately, Rico captures Sue as a final desperate hostage, but Mick’s loyal Aboriginal friends intervene, distracting Rico long enough for Mick to disarm and defeat the crime boss. With the cartel thoroughly dismantled, Rico is arrested, and Mick and Sue reaffirm their deep commitment to one another, choosing to embrace their unconventional future together in the heart of Australia.
