Jasmine Francis lives a life of effortless luxury in Manhattan, married to Hal, a charismatic billionaire whose wealth affords her high-society status, designer clothes, and total detachment from reality. However, Jasmine's pristine world shatters when federal investigators expose Hal’s vast financial fraud, a Ponzi scheme that ruins countless investors. Dwight falls for her sophisticated facade and proposes marriage, offering Jasmine the exact ticket back to the upper crust she so desperately craves. However, Jasmine's fragile web of deception collapses when Ginger’s ex-husband, Augie, visits. Recognizing Jasmine, Augie confronts her bitterly about the ruin she caused. Soon after, Dwight accidentally discovers the truth about Jasmine's fabricated identity and her connection to the infamous criminal, promptly dumping her and throwing her out into the street. The story concludes in devastating tragedy.
