The story follows three ambitious young women—lead singer Kelly MacNamara, bassist Pet Aldrich, and drummer Casey Anderson—who form an all-girl rock band called The Carrie Nations. Upon inheriting a massive theatrical empire in Los Angeles from her late uncle, Kelly relocates the band to California, accompanied by their flamboyant manager, Harris Allsworth. Thrust immediately into the chaotic, decadent world of Hollywood, the trio tastes sudden fame, signing with the powerful and eccentric promoter Ronnie "Z-Man" Barbarossa, who intends to turn them into superstars. However, the corrupting influence of Hollywood and Z-Man’s insidious control quickly begins to tear the group apart. Kelly is seduced by the lavish lifestyle and embarks on a destructive romance with Ronnie's decadent associate, Lance Rocke. Meanwhile, Pet falls into a deep depression, alienated by the superficiality of the scene and the tragic suicide of Harris, who could no longer cope with the industry's harsh realities. Casey remains the voice of reason, desperately trying to keep the band grounded as sex, drugs, and
psychological manipulation permeate their inner circle.Tensions reach a boiling point during a lavish, drug-fueled masquerade party hosted at Z-Man’s sprawling mansion. Z-Man’s grip on reality completely shatters; revealed as a deeply disturbed, misogynistic tyrant, he attacks the women, driven by a psychotic delusion that he is the ultimate creator and destroyer of their destinies. He murders several attendees in a frenzied, drug-addled rage, turning the celebration into a
house of horrors. In the chaotic climax, the surviving band members fight back against their tormentor to save their lives. Pet, pushed past her breaking point, defends her friends and strikes Z-Man down, unmasking him as a fraudulent, defeated shell of a man.In the aftermath of the bloodbath, the surviving members of The Carrie Nations realize that the glamorous dream they chased was merely a hollow illusion. Having endured immense trauma, the women choose to leave the toxic industry and Hollywood behind entirely. Rejecting the shallow fame that nearly destroyed them, they walk away to rebuild their lives on their own terms, wiser and irrevocably changed by the dark underbelly of their brief ascent to stardom.
