The story follows Akash, a high-flying Wall Street
investment banker who faces total ruin after the 2008 financial crash, leaving him buried under insurmountable debt and stripped of his professional identity. Consumed by utter despair and feeling he has nothing left to live for, Akash repeatedly tries and fails to end his life. During one such botched attempt on a bridge in New York City, he encounters Kiara, a vibrant yet equally desperate young Indian woman whose heart has been shattered by the betrayal and infidelity of her fiancé, Kunal. Kiara is also contemplating ending her life, having lost all faith in love and her future.Instead of jumping, their shared misery sparks a bizarre, reluctant bond. Recognizing their mutual suicidal impulses, they make a pact: rather than dying alone and defeated, they decide to live out the next two weeks together, crossing off every wild, reckless item on their shared bucket list before finally committing suicide on New Year's Eve. They check into a luxurious hotel using Akash’s remaining maxed-out credit card and embark on a chaotic, emotionally charged journey filled with spontaneous road trips, heavy drinking, vandalism, and adrenaline-pumping adventures. As they traverse picturesque landscapes, the initial friction and constant bickering between the cynical, pragmatic Akash and the whimsical, expressive Kiara gradually dissolve. They bare their deepest insecurities and past traumas, offering each other a safe harbor from their overwhelming grief. Unbeknownst to them, the line between their suicide pact and a genuine reason to live begins to blur. Kiara slowly heals her broken heart through Akash’s protective presence, while Akash learns to feel joy and vulnerability again, realizing that life’s unpredictability holds unexpected beauty. When New Year's Eve finally arrives, they stand at the designated cliffside, facing the moment of truth. However, the emotional
transformation they underwent over the past two weeks completely alters their perspective. Akash realizes he has fallen deeply in love with Kiara and cannot bear to lose her, while Kiara realizes that her life is worth living. They mutually abandon the suicide pact, acknowledging that they have saved each other. In the film's hopeful conclusion, they part ways briefly to untangle their respective lives, confident that they will reunite in the future, having found redemption, healing, and a profound second chance at life through one another.
